Augustus cabernet - merlot
Separately harvested and vinified, after a 13 day skin maceration both musts were fermented. Then, the Merlot wine was aged for 11 to 17 months, and the Cabernet Sauvignon wine was aged for 18 months, both of them in 300-litre French oak barrels.
After that, this Spanish red wine from Penedès was gently clarified and delicately filtered.
Finally, Augustus Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2016 was aged for a further 12 months before its commercial release.

This bold Crianza red wine from Penedès is intensely aromatic, with aromas of ripe red fruit, alongside hints of spices, flowers, menthol and balsam. This blend of Cab. Sauvignon and Merlot shows an excellent balance.
Intense notes of meaty red and black fruit, combined with some lactic and spicy aromas, touches of liquorice and some earthy and toasted remembrances. This Penedès red wine wine of the Avgvtvs Forum winery has a very good acidity, some ripe tannins and long, fruity finish.
